Engage is Ryder Systems latest offering which provides data warehousing as a service with on-demand analytical reporting.
Using the Software as a Service “SaaS” model, Engage is a hosted application running as a service to customers across a secure internet connection, eliminating the need to install and run the application on the customer's own servers.
Engage provides SMEs with a lower cost alternative to managing their own data warehouse, removing the burden of software maintenance, operation and support, and allowing them to focus on core business activities.

Most data warehousing applications use shared-everything architecture, in which processors share a single large disk and memory, resulting in less than optimal performance.
Engage on the other hand uses a shared-nothing, massively parallel processing (MPP) architecture designed specifically for business intelligence and analytical processing.
Customers have the ability to self-load data as they wish or, with the help of Ryder Systems, can customise the delivery and loading of data to suite business and IT requirements. We also offer resources to help with any data transformation requirements.
Engage was designed to be highly scalable to ensure customers only pay for what they use by automatically allocating more storage space as your usage increases, eliminating the need to invest is large disk arrays and additional servers. This way, you only pay for what you use, no more and no less.
Storing large amounts of data would be useless without being able to access and produce useful analytics to help inform and make business decisions. Engage offers an easy to use reporting and analytics interface giving the user the ability to quickly create reports on-demand and save in common formats including PDF, Excel and CSV.
Reports can also be setup to automatically email one or many people on a defined set schedule. Users can also be notified via SMS when it arrives in their inbox.
Engage provides a user with the ability to program SMS and email messages when pre-defined conditions in the data are met. For example, a user may wish to receive an SMS when the monthly revenue reaches a certain level, or when customer usage falls below a pre-defined number.
