About Ryder Systems

Ryder Systems was founded over 20 years ago and has provided billing analysis products and services to Telecommunications companies. These included British Telecom, Vodafone, T-Mobile, Orange, Verizon and 3 across eight countries in Europe and Asia Pacific.

Following the sale of the UK "Billing Analysis" division we are now headquartered in Melbourne Australia, focusing on Data warehousing & reporting solutions to the Finance, Banking, Government, Insurance, Utilities & Telecommunications sectors.

We believe the way we support our customers and staff, combined with great product development, has lead to our success over 20 years.


Paul Haworth - Founder and CEO

Paul founded Ryder Systems in 1988 and has been responsible for building Ryder into multi-million pound business, with clients in eight countries and 80 staff prior to the sale of the UK based "Billing Analysis" division.

All products and services during that time have been for the Telecommunications industry covering Tariff and Billing analysis as well as mediation into billing systems.

His main passion is innovative product development in addition to having satisfied customers and staff.


Chris Watson - Director of Operations

Chris has been with Ryder since 2005. He has a very high attention to detail and strong data analysis skills. Chris has a unique ability to communicate on both business and technical levels in order to bridge the gap between business owners and technical staff.

Chris has over 10 years experience in managing, evaluating, reconciling and analysing large data feeds in a variety of formats for processing and mediation. On top of this he has skills in document design, large-volume printing and mail inserting from his previous employment.

One of Chris' key skills is Business Process Reengineering (BPR), which aims to improve how an organisation conducts business by means of evaluating efficiency and effectiveness of the processes that exist using a "clean slate" perspective.


Alan Young - Director of Technology

Alan has over 15 years in the design, development and architecture of enterprise applications. Educated at Victoria University (Wellington), the University of Auckland and the University of Hong Kong, he has extensive experience of Java (JEE), database's and applications servers as well as a thirst for evaluating the latest technologies. Alan has worked in various industries, including: semiconductor, CRM, logistics, risk & compliance, and utilities billing and analytics/reporting.

Alan has lived and worked in Auckland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and the U.S. Most recently he has worked at Lawlex (Melbourne) where he was working on web based risk and compliance software as well as scalability issues.
